The CDCP helps cover part of the cost of eligible oral health services for qualifying Canadian residents. Coverage and your start date must be confirmed before treatment.

Eligibility basics
All four requirements must be met.
Requirement 2
You and your spouse or common-law partner, if applicable, filed the required Canadian tax returns.
Requirement 3
Your adjusted family net income is less than $90,000.
Requirement 4
You are a Canadian resident for tax purposes.
What may be covered
A range of preventive and treatment services.
Coverage depends on CDCP rules, frequency limits, clinical need and whether preauthorization is required.
- Dental exams and X-rays
- Cleanings, fluoride and sealants
- Fillings and other basic restorative care
- Root canal treatment when eligible
- Dentures and selected prosthodontic services
- Selected oral surgery and sedation services
Understanding costs
CDCP coverage may not equal the full dental fee.
Depending on adjusted family net income, some members have a CDCP co-payment. Patients may also be responsible for differences between the CDCP established fee and the dental office fee, as well as services the plan does not cover. Our team can discuss anticipated costs before treatment.
Below $70,000
No CDCP co-payment
Additional charges may still apply.
$70,000–$79,999
40% CDCP co-payment
The plan pays 60% of its established fee.
$80,000–$89,999
60% CDCP co-payment
The plan pays 40% of its established fee.
